Denver, much like other large cities across the country, has seen an influx of successful property use conversions in recent years, with adaptive reuses spanning all types of buildings. This begs the question, what is driving the trend, and why now?

Due to the lack of legislation in Colorado, there is an influx of unlicensed individuals who refer to themselves as “interior designers” without meeting the proper requirements. As a result, it’s extremely important that Colorado takes action to protect the title of interior designer.

As we round out the first quarter of the new year, the ASD Contract+ Interior Design team is looking forward to seeing a variety of projects move toward completion.

Last month, ASD’ very own Radek Wakulik had the pleasure of joining three American architects on a trip to Poland, hosted by Yawal, a local window manufacturing company

There, he attended an architecture conference, explored Yawal’s showroom and factories, and learned about current trends in aluminum glazed systems, in addition to visiting a variety of inspiring historical sites and contemporary projects.
