As snow rolls into the Rocky Mountains, the ASD team is lucky enough to have our toes in the sand in Hawaii! We’re working on a new project on Maui’s Northshore in the funky old town of Wailuku.

The team at ASD had a widely successful awards season. In October, three of our projects were recognized for excellence: The Sheraton Denver Downtown, the Hilton Garden Inn at Union Station and Sheridan Station Apartments all received industry honors.

The Hyatt Centric recently made its debut to guests and diners and is preparing for a grand opening celebration next month. The contemporary hotel completes the historic block of Champa Street and is home to a new chef-driven restaurant, Apple Blossom Denver.

The exterior façade of the Hyatt Centric is nearing completion, and we’re loving how the copper tones of the metal panels and wood accents fit seamlessly along downtown Denver’s historic Champa Street.

We’re thrilled to see the Sheraton Denver Downtown named a finalist for the 2021 Downtown Denver Awards put on by the Downtown Denver Partnership!

It’s an honor to again be recognized within the hospitality award industry, as ASD earned a prestigious 2021 TopID Award from the Rocky Mountain Chapter of NEWH, the Network of the Hospitality Industry.

ASD.design got a makeover, and we’re excited to show it off! Staying true to our ethos of pragmatic beauty, we simplified and improved functionality but didn’t sacrifice our aesthetic.

ASD Partner Tobias Strohe recently had the opportunity to attend ILC’s INDIE Confab in Philadelphia. An event designed to connect creative provocateurs and disruptors from hotels, F&B, design and finance certainly didn’t disappoint. From unique development tours to engaging speakers, Tobias had endless opportunities to find inspiration and connection. Hear all about the experience in his own words.

Our architecture and design teams had the opportunity to host an in-person tour of the newly remodeled Sheraton Denver Downtown with NEWH Rocky Mountain. The member-exclusive tour took hospitality design colleagues through this beatnik-inspired refresh of IM Pei’s original 1961 hotel design, including its Porte Cochere, façade and public spaces.

Dairy Block has recieved another prestigious honor! Congratulations to the entire project team on achieving a 2021 Americas Award of Excellence from the Urban Land Institute. Designing The Maven, the block’s cornerstone eight-story independent luxury hotel, was a labor of love and we remain thrilled with how it sets a standard for hospitality experiences in Lower Downtown Denver.

A distinguished jury has chosen 15 finalists across five categories in contention for a prestigious IMPACT Award from ULI Colorado, including the ASD-designed City Park Golf Course Clubhouse!

Downtown Denver’s latest urban infill project, The Fitzgerald, is getting closer to completion at 1800 Market St. ASD served as the architect and interior designer on this project, which adds 11 stories of thoughtfully designed mixed-use space to a former parking lot in one of Denver’s fastest-growing areas.
